About the role
Our Parking Services team is committed to working with residents, businesses and visitors to ensure that our roads are kept free-flowing and our car parks and permits are used appropriately.
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, your duties will involve enforcing the parking restrictions both “On Street” and in the Council’s car parks.
This is an all-weather role, patrolling all parking restrictions throughout Mole Valley, issuing Penalty Charge Notices where contraventions have taken place as well as covering other duties such as checking pay and display equipment, and ensuring that our car parks continue to be well maintained.
We are looking for someone who is available to work Monday to Saturday and occasional Sundays, Bank Holidays and evenings as part of their regular shift pattern when required. Full training will be given and a uniform will be provided.
What are we looking for from you?
You will either have previous experience as a Civil Enforcement Officer or other similar public facing enforcement role, such as with the Police, and you are looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to achieve a NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Parking Enforcement once employed.
In order to be successful in this role and to be able to provide a good level of customer service you must have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
You will need to be resilient and able to deal with difficult situations diplomatically.
In order to be able to travel around Mole Valley, to carry out your duties, you will need to have a full driving license which enables you to drive our manual fleet vehicle.
