The Role
At this time of the year we are looking for individuals to join our team who have a strong interest in gardening and love working outdoors. Experience would be desirable, but not essential. This role works with the current team to learn and develop their gardening skills on a historic, 400 acre private estate in Surrey. The beautiful 25 acre garden is made up of herbaceous and mixed borders with a vast array of ornamental species including a Mediterranean garden and a prairie border, Italian garden, kitchen garden, lawns, wildflower meadows and woodland areas.
The Person
We are looking for an individual who loves working as part of the team, has some gardening experience and is looking to expand their skills and knowledge of plants and gardening.
The role will involve interaction with other employees, members & guests so you will ideally be outgoing & friendly. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to trial this role, with perhaps a long term plan to pursue a career in horticulture.
Shift Pattern
-40 hours per week, 7am – 3.30pm.
-This is a seasonal position until the end of October 2024.
-The ideal candidate will be flexible in working 1 in 8 weekends.
The ideal candidate will have a full UK driving license and their own transport.
