M25 Diversion Routes

As it has been widely reported, the M25 motorway is scheduled to be closed over the upcoming weekend for demolition works and gantry installation. The closure will affect both directions between junctions 10 and 11, starting from 9pm on Friday 15th March until 6am on Monday 18th March. The reason for this closure now is to avoid any disruptions during the easter holidays.

A detailed diversion has been set up, and drivers are being urged NOT to rely on their Sat Navs but to follow the diversion routes instead. There are concerns that Sat Navs may direct vehicles, including lorries, onto smaller town roads, causing significant congestion alongside the delays that will happen with the diversions.

There are two diversion routes to follow:

Anti-Clockwise from Junction 11 –  Junction 10:  A to B
A320 south towards Woking,
A245 towards Byfleet and Painshill junction,
Southbound A3 to Junction 10.

Clockwise from Junction 10 –  Junction 11: B to A
North bound A3 to Painshill Junction,
A245 towards Woking,
then A320 to M25 Junction 11.

People are being encourage to use the M25 in the other direction if possible. Whichever way you go please allow extra time for your journey
