Beaverbrook is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Management Accountant. As an integral part of our finance department, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our Management Accountant and managing the day-to-day operations of our transactional accounting team.

Based at the Estate, the Assistant Management Accountant will be part of a small but friendly team of finance professionals and will have previous experience in end-to-end Accounts Payable function for multiple entities, as well as supervision experience.

What you’ll be doing:

-Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
-Preparing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries in line with accounting policies.
-Checking all bank statement postings, ensuring all are accurately posted in Sage and Opera.
-Post HMRC, VAT, and Beaverbrook Golf Club journals for resignations and new joiners.
-Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies all three entities
-Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and hotel financial policies.

Who you are:

-Previous experience in a similar accounting role preferred, ideally in the Hospitality sector.
-Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise workload.
-Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proficient in Excel and hotel finance systems, e.g. Opera, Sage and Procure Wizard.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30.

Salary: £35,000 per annum plus Tronc
