Simon will be joined by his quartet featuring bassist Alec Dankworth, Pete Billington on the piano and Pete Cater on the drums.

Epsom Jazz Club presents the Blackhawk Quintet

Come and join us for a night of cool jazz performed by The Blackhawk Quintet, featuring a tribute to the 1950s West Coast legend, Shelly Manne.  The Blackhawk Quintet celebrates a clutch of golden performances captured live at the Blackhawk Jazz Club in San Francisco in September 1959. The band do this by connecting with the music of their corresponding original artists, but also by bringing their own originality to their performances.  Featuring Matt Skelton on drums, Jim Davison on trumpet, Mark Crooks on tenor saxophone, Leon Greening on the piano, and Jeremy Brown on the double bass.

Epsom Choral Society Summer Concert

Join Epsom Choral Society for an electrifying evening of jazz-inspired choral music at our Summer Concert in June 2025 at St Andrew’s Church, Cheam.

The centrepiece of the programme is Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, a thrilling fusion of jazz and sacred music, performed with a live jazz trio and saxophone.

The programme also features John Rutter’s Birthday Madrigals, a vibrant celebration of jazz harmonies, and Ola Gjeilo’s Evening Prayer, a beautifully atmospheric piece blending voices with piano and saxophone.

We are also thrilled to present the world premiere of True Story by acclaimed composer Russell Hepplewhite, written especially for this occasion.

With the brilliant soprano soloist Lisa Swayne, this concert promises to be a unique and unforgettable musical experience—a dazzling mix of jazz, rhythm, and soaring melodies! Don’t miss it!
