WITNESS APPEAL: Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Box Hill.
Officers were called to Boxhill Road, Box Hill shortly after 8pm yesterday (Sunday,14 December) following reports of a serious collision involving the driver of a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, sadly died at the scene.
A 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A road closure remains in place while officers carry out enquiries and is expected to remain for several hours. Please continue to avoid the area.
They are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to get in touch.
They are also seeking CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.
